Tony, Good job on sales this week - that's a very respectable number of sales, especially during this very slow summertime. My sales tanked last week, but since I was out of town and not listing anything, it was no surprise at all. And, I had a buyer request a cancellation, so I just turned her over to Ebay as an unpaid case, because I am plain old sick of these buyers who make an offer and then after I accept it, they decide that they don't really want the item. I processed a cancellation for the last one, but then she never responded which was very annoying; so for this one, I just decided to ignore her cancellation request. Passive aggressive Ebay behavior by me, but I just had to do it, I felt. Just as an F Y I , I add extra insurance to cover anything over $100, and that way there's no extra risk for any high dollar sales. However, I can tell you from experience, buyers return higher priced merchandise for almost any reason. So that alone might be a reason to avoid high priced items. But I must say that the adrenaline rush is worth the risks, for me.Hope you guys continue having a great month, and reach 1,000 listings. I just hit 1,150 but that's because my sales are so bad this summer. That is the only upside to a bad summer - ha ha!Keep selling, and sharing your stories, and looking forward to seeing your lovely wife again.
I hear you on the non paying best offer buyers who just wag their tail in the face of good honest sellers. We get that all the time but we try to only accept offers now from buyers who have a long standing account and good recent feedback and even then it's no guarantee.Deidre will hopefully join me on the next video, I never know, lol
Tony, I just found your blog a few days ago and have been enjoying reading about your journey since the beginning and also your videos! Looking forward to more! ~~Pam
Welcome to the site Pam, we are just a couple of ole country folks who found a way to retire early via eBay. It's a struggle but we are finding our way through the retail world everyday. We may not be as sophisticated as some sellers but you might get a laugh or two along the way, lol. Glad to have you with us :-)Tony
